Any hair ideas for putting some manic panic atomic turquoise in my hair?

i absolutely love the color and i would like to put some of it in my hair, not my whole head. I dont want to put it in streaks. I was thinking maybe in the underneath layer or under my bangs. any ideas of where i could put the dye?

under your bangs would look good. we also do a technique that puts it at the nape of your neck all the way across. not alot. just part off a section about two inches wide. if your hair is dark the manic panic won't show up unless you bleach it first.

I've done the tips of my hair, about 6 inches of it, in Pillarbox red. But depending on your natural color you may have to bleach it first for the color to take. I have natural blonde hair, so it took pretty well. I washed my hair with PH balancing shampoo, applied the dye, then wrapped it in tinfoil. I hit it with a blow dryer every once in a while, and left in it for two and a half hours, came out nice, and if you are only doing a small part of it the dye will last a long time, no need to throw it out, it's already ready to go. I have streaks in my hair of blue, but they really dont look tacky. How about just having sections (small layers about 3inches across) all over your head, but leaving the top layer of your hair alone so that :

a) you wont see the roots when it grows out

b) when you move you head, you will get flashes of turquiose from underneath your natural colour (or whatever colour the rest of your head is)

And also to agree with everyone above, you will need to lighten your hair first, esp if its really dark.
