Just get some bobby pins that match your hair color and secure an updo. I am not sure what kind of hair type you have though and how long it is. It is always easier to put hair in an updo if it is "dirty". Don;' wash it today if you do not have to.

I would curl pieces of your hair before you put it up. You can start at the crown of your head and move forward. Then put up the sides and the back last. Grab some fresh flowers to cover up an bobby pins you have not been able to hide. You also have to use a lot of hair spray. Have a friend or family member there to help or at least hold the mirror.

it depends what kind of dress you have:

spagetti strap: pony tail

halter: half up w/ strands coming down making the whole enseimble look very flirty

no strapes: all the hair down

sweet heart neckline: wear ur hair in a chignon to accentuate the collar bones
