Hair ideas for 12 year old? ANYONE?

My friend's daughter is getting her hair cut tomarrow and they need ideas! The girl KNOWS she's getting side bangs. She likes her hair longish (3 inches below shoulders) but it looks good short also. The only problem is her hair takes FOREVER to grow out! So, if she doesn't like it....she's in trouble for AT LEAST 7 months!

First thing is i would get her hair cut at like her shoulders. But I would do the side bangs and get it with a bunch of long layors!! I know how she feels. And if she dosen't like it let her get some low lights or Highlights. They will make it look longer with out it bein long. I hope I helped alil bit!!

Straight cuts. Trust me on that one. Everyone has those layers these days, and its such an old look. Also, if its done by a serious professional and isnt styled properly, it can look really flippy, kinky and not put together what so ever. Especially when you're THAT young (12), you don't want to waste time on what your hair looks like. Straight cuts all the way ;)

I would get some layers through the front by the face. and like 3ish through the back. i would cut the bangs to like 1/2 an inch below her eye
